CLASSICAL CELLO

SOLO, DUO, TRIO, 4-TET

From solo recitals to chamber groups and symphony orchestras, what is not to be loved about the soothening and healing sound of the 1919 Adamsen cello, purchased in 1978, a year before Søren Lyng Hansen embarked on his post-graduate studies at the RCM London in the class of Christopher Bunting combined with 2 years of private tuition with JACQUELINE DU PRE and her teacher, WILLIAM PLEETH

In his professional career, Søren Lyng Hansen has recorded as a session musician with numerous artists using his Adamsen cello. He performed Claude Bolling's Suite for solo cello & Jazz Trio in a tribute concert in 1992, honoring the great cellist Mstislav Rostropovich. Another highlight was his concerts with Italian diva Milva La Rossa.

The classical collaborations in Dubai with musician-friends brought to the stage ensembles such as Skylark Duo with Macedonian flutist, Irena Mitevska Mileva and Elements Trio with Bulgarian pianist Antoniya Stoyanova and Irena Mitevska Mileva, flute. Søren Lyng Hansen's latest collaboration, a cello/piano duet with Polish pianist Mariola Sokolowska, will play in concerts from Autumn 2023, with first performance coming up in October at the newly opened Steinway Hall Dubai.
