For the past four years, Søren Lyng Hansen has presented this unique multimedia production as Artist in Residence at the Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA), Dubai, where it has become one of the venue's signature live concert experiences.
Impressions in Sound is an immersive journey where live music and visual art merge into a single artistic expression. Performed on electric cello, the programme unfolds against a breathtaking canvas of monumental digital projections inspired by some of the world's most celebrated painters.
As the music evolves, masterpieces by Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Edvard Munch, Juan Gris, Robert Delaunay, Paul Klee, and Wassily Kandinsky are transformed into vibrant moving imagery. Colours flow, light dances, and familiar masterpieces take on new life, creating an ever-changing visual landscape that surrounds the audience.
The musical programme combines timeless classical masterpieces with contemporary neoclassical works, carefully selected and arranged to complement the emotional language of each artistic movement.
